I DID NOT SEE IF IT WAS EDITED OR NOT BUT THE DRAFT HAS TO STOP UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED.

This is how I see it. If Beast saw Sniper's pick as Unger, he would've mentioned the double post when he picked for Libertine, or right after. Since that came before the second time Loadholt was picked, I think that means Sniper was in there in time. Unless all 3 posts somehow happened at the same time.

This is because when most guys edit they don't want other people to know about it because it was a stupid typo or their post didn't make sense at first. You have to leave a reason for a timestamp.....most people forget about this

Assuming that you have mod powers in this forum (cuz obviously you need to be edit the first post in the draft threads), is it possible for future drafts to have the draft forum set up that way? Or perhaps it can be set to automaticaly show a timestamp when edited? Again I don't know how these forums work so I don't know if either of those ideas are possible. Losing your pick cuz you're a couple seconds or a minute late is kinda harsh. Not being able to edit and having to make a new post in this sort of situation, or having a time stamp automaticaly on the edited post would prevent this from happening.

Matt, you're my boy and all, and I understand you being pissed. We had a similiar sitation last year on the Saints over a K.. or was it a P? and I got fairly heated for a few minutes as well, but you went overboard with the temper(just like I did back then) I know you have your issues with Sniper, but I think if it had been anyone else in this situation with you, you would not have reacted so strongly.

Sniper, I don't believe for a second that you intentionally edited it trying to be sneaky. I believe what you said. You put in your pick, saw it was already taken, and then edited it. I think that's happened to all or nearly all of us at some point here or in other leagues for those that have participated in others. Unfortunately, lets be honest, for alot of reasons, alot of people have issues with you, so when it was you involved in something like this, it got blown way up. Sad, but true. Perception is everything. You got caught in a no win situation there when you didn't do anything wrong, IMO.

Alright I want t publicly apologize. I had a reason to be angry, but I didn't have the right to carry myself about the way I did.

It just sucks when I sit here at my computer for every draft and get my pick in exactly when Beast says it is my turn. Then I go and get the player I had been targeting all night stolen from me because some other team not only missed their pick deadline, but also picked a player that was already chosen.

There needs to be a rule guarding against this and I am in favor of the rule Beast has proposed in this thread for future years in this league. At least some good came from this.

Now, Sniper. Are you willing to trade me Loadholt?

Cooler heads have prevailed, which is good.

However, there needs to be a safety net put in place so this doesn't happen in the future.

Next season, if a team misses their pick or picks a player that has been taken, they will miss their pick.

Really, though, there shouldn't be any problems going forward if everyone knows what is allowed. The editing of posts can lead to what happened tonight. I should have thought of that in the beginning but I didn't.
