Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) -- Pittsburgh invades the arena tonight with two losses in three games. On the other hand, the Pens have won six of eight. Marc-Andre Fleury has played six straight games. With a game in New Jersey tomorrow, word is Fleury will play one game and back up Brent Johnson will play the other. Johnson has played very poorly over the years against the Sabres carrying a 3.80 goals against in nine games. Fleury is 5-2-0 vs Buffalo, but his goals against is also high at 2.81.

Ryan Miller's 1.98 goals against is second in the league, but his .935 save percentage still leads the league.

Tim Connolly has finally responded offensively with three goals and two assists in three games. Mike Grier has two goals and three assists in three games, Thomas Vanek has points in three straight games, Jason Pominville has four points in three games, Chris Butler has six assists in eight games and Jochen Hecht has two goals in four games.

Andrej Sekera was on the ice longer today so that may mean he's scratched and Nathan Paetsch is in. Drew Stafford will return and play with Paul Gaustad and Clarke MacArthur. Stafford was a healthy scratch in St. Louis.

For Pittsburgh, Bill Guerin has five points in two games, Chris Kunitz has two goals and five assists in five games. Tyler Kennedy hopes to play after being a healthy scratch against Toronto. He has no points in 11 games. Sergei Gonchar has four points in two games, as does Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. Malkin has 17 points in 13 career games against Buffalo. Crosby has 18 points in 15 games.

We are going to see two poor power plays tonight. Believe it or not with all that talent, Pittsburgh's PP is last in the NHL. Buffalo's is 24th. The Sabres penalty kill is 6th while the Penguins is 10th.

Join Mike Schopp for the pregame starting at 6:00 when he'll be joined by Lindy Ruff, Stafford and Pominville.

It was a great game!! They responded real well to pulling Miller. They were flat. Lalime, Gaustad, Meyer and Stafford played extremely well. Hecht actually stepped it up!!

Hahahaha... After Kotalik left, Hecht is my least favorite LAZY Sabres player... and yeah, he did play a pretty decent game! The thing that upsets me the most about him, is that he could be a halfway decent player, but he's just so lazy and takes stupid penalties because he is lolligagging around and hooks someone rather than use his speed to catch up to someone, and not to mention the terrible shots right into the goalies chest protector... just drives me nuts sometimes.

I just so happend to turn on Fox Sports Pittsburgh when they yanked Miller. He then took some of his gear off and tossed it. He was friggin ****** big time! I wish I could have stayed up and watched the rest. I did see the Kunitz goal and that was it.
